    To help break down budget asks, please read more below. Team Gu does not own a massive production crew, but what we do is create the strategy you need and either do smaller productions ourselves, or create the team you need on a bigger scale, but we always manage all editing and scripting (the post and pre-production realms).

     

    When creating a video, what aspects can make the video budget increase? We get asked this a lot, here is a breakdown of some key things to know: Locations (one or many), travel time and related expenses, the actual shoot length of time (is it 4 hours or 3 days?), voiceovers (these vary like actor hires), actor hires (never a set budget known until we nail down the right actors to fill the creative ask and if they're part of SAG or not, etc.), graphics needed in post-production, changing the strategy way too many times which means the clear intent of the video has not been understood, among some other key elements. Remember, there are lots of "video people" out there, but do they understand how this fits in WITH EVERYTHING ELSE YOU'RE DOING? Creating video(s) for the sake of just having video is not what it's about, but doing great video work to fit into a very strategic marketing strategy and promotional/advertising plan that relates back to your key business goals does make sense.

    A promo video is a short, to the point, simple promo video that is used to promote an event, service or otherwise. It is NOT complicated but provides a preview of something you offer.

     

    Another format is a "sizzle reel" that uses this same format and shows short clips of YOU or YOUR BUSINESS to drive interest to your target audiences.
