The Real Deal on AI Content: Why Google Prefers Human-Generated Content

Are you familiar with A.I. tools like ChatGPT or Bard? They're the go-to nowadays for quick content creation. But hold on, Google seems to be raising an eyebrow at these A.I. generated pieces, and it's not without a reason.

So, Google recently updated its merchant center policy, and here's the important stuff:

"Automated Content: We don’t allow reviews that are primarily generated by an automated program or artificial intelligence application. If you have identified such content, it should be marked as spam in your feed using the <is_spam> attribute."

In short, A.I. generated reviews are considered spam.

That makes sense, right? They want real, authentic reviews from actual humans – the kind that can give potential customers genuine insights. And honestly, an A.I. generated review just won't cut it. It's like asking a robot to write a love letter – it lacks that human touch.

But it doesn't stop there! A.I. has its quirks. Sure, it's handy for some tasks, but it can go haywire too. Imagine an A.I. bot answering math questions correctly 98% of the time, only to tank to a dismal 2% over time. Yikes!

And brace yourselves for the medical stuff. A study found that a medical question thrown at ChatGPT got a 92% accuracy. Not bad for a school grade, right? But when it comes to your health, a wrong answer can be seriously dangerous.

But here's the kicker: search engines like Google aren't against A.I. generated content per se. They just want to control what it is used for, especially when it comes to life-changing stuff. Financial advice, medical advice, and anything that can potentially harm someone should always be handled with care.

But fear not, fellow creators! If you're using A.I. generated content, just give it a human review before unleashing it into the world. That way, you ensure accuracy and value for your readers.

In the grand scheme of things, we see a trend: A.I. technology is being embraced left and right, but algorithms will ultimately lean towards human-written content. After all, Artificial Intelligence needs human input to shine, and human-crafted content is the best form of that magick.

So, how much of your content will be A.I. generated?

Remember, humans still have the upper hand! And always keep writing from your heart! ❤️
