Breaking Bad Habits: Why We Must Break Out of Comfort Bubbles

Disruption actually is something that’s amazing for humans. You may think I sound crazy, but it's true.
In a comfort-driven society, we are conditioned to follow formulas that produce predictable results, but it can lead to dissatisfying experiences. The one thing that this universe is NOT is totally predictable; however, there is a layer of trust that must be included in evolving our lives to move forward and when running companies of any size.
We have this illusion that ”if we are stable then we are good” but not having any change or growth happening is actually when we’re NOT good!
If you’re stagnant and at a stand-still, change does not come. Nothing evolves. So when you get “stabilized” in predictable, mediocre day-to-day for long periods of time, there’s ALWAYS something that happens.
What is that THING that comes along to shove you into chaos? Well, it might come in the form of a divorce. The death of a loved one. Sickness. SOMETHING comes along that forcefully shoves you outside of that comfy stable time and then we blink like a deer in the headlights when those times that come thinking where in the hell did that come from?
Well, the truth is, the duality of negative and positive experiences will never stop because we live in a universe of duality. Positive and negative forces are always at play! So we have to change our daily habits to embrace these times with more ease.
Changing the HABITS around your day to day is how you can be ready for the change and it requires a different perspective on just about everything.
Here are those habit shifts:
To shift out of bad habits that keep you stuck, it's about getting comfortable with being uncomfortable and learning how to disrupt the patterns that shape your everyday life.
Habits that shift when we really look at how we're grasping for safety is when we have to question the beliefs we received from other people in our childhood. We must learn to break free from normal routines that are a direct threat to us reaching bigger goals.
After all, we are the CEOs of our lives so we need to TAKE OWNERSHIP!
